Privacy Policy for the BEMAS Corona LMRA app

By using the BEMAS Corona LMRA end the LMRA -first app you accept this privacy policy.

By using the BEMAS Corona LMRA app you pass on information that allows us to identify yourself as a person and link this to the information collected by the app. The information collected in the app is processed by SBC Safety Behaviour Change (BEPORI bvba) and shared with BEMAS – Belgian Maintenance Association vzw. This information will be used as research study material to identify possible problems with possible Corona infection during maintenance activities.  The data will be processed anonymously and will only be used for study purposes. Reports and publications are only made on a consolidated basis.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation or ‘GDPR’.

Regarding the stored personal data, you always have the right to:

  • request and to look into the data,
  • to change (or have changed) the data,
  • to deleted (or have deleted) the data.

This can be done for one or more entries in the different databases of SBC Safety Behaviour Change (BEPORI bvba), as data controller, and BEMAS – Belgian Maintenance Association vzw-asbl as data processor.

You can also ask to be removed from the databases concerned.  You will then be ‘forgotten’ and not contacted in any way by SBC Safety Behaviour Change (BEPORI bvba) and/or BEMAS.

If you submit an application for changes or deletion, this will happen as soon as possible and at least within 30 days .

How do you claim your rights?

This can be done by simply sending an email to info@lmra.be and/or info@bemas.org  stating your request.

  • First and last nameof the person you wish to delete or change;
  • E-mail addressof the person you wish to delete or change;

Al the above mentioned data controller and processors process and store your data in a protected manner. They can use third party data processors to do so.

Information provided by the app

LMRA stands for Last Minute Risk Analysis. With the BEMAS Corona LMRA app you can check before starting maintenance work whether sufficient precautions have been taken to limit the risk of Corona infection. The app also allows you to assess the risk of infection and suggests some recommended precautions. Finally, the app contains some concrete advice and tips to prevent Corona infections and gives the possibility to report incidents to BEMAS.

The risk analysis assumes that the persons involved do not belong to a risk group and that all persons involved may be unknowingly infected with the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The information provided is a generic recommendation. The information provided is a generic recommendation. Information Collected by the app

Only those personal data are collected that are necessary to meet a certain part of our service or to send you information.

This can include:

  • E-mail address
  • Mobile phone number

  • Device Location
  • Camera image
  • Microphone Sound

No marketing profiles are created based on automatic analytics or cookies placed on your device (see below).

Why are your personal details stored?

Your personal data are used for a specific purpose (and only for that purpose) with the following legal grounds:

  • to offer you the information you required (execute assignment);
  • to meet your question, to give an answer (execute assignment);
  • to be able to process your registration for using the BEMAS Corona LMRA app
  • to occasionally send you a information regarding the BEMAS Corona LMRA app and the other initiatives and solutions of BEMAS and SBC Safety Behaviour Change.

 

Device location information is used for research study purposes only. Users are prompted whether or not to share the location when the app intends to store location information. Users can opt not to share the device location at each occasion.

Camera images are only used for barcode scanning, no information is stored in any way when the camera is used. This option is standard not active in the BEMAS Corona LMRA app.

The microphone sound is only used to determine the noise level in the environment in order to assess the risk of hearing damage. Only sound level data is processed. Sounds are not recorded nor forwarded in any way. Calls are not recorded nor forwarded in any way.

This information will then be used as research study material to identify possible problems with possible Corona infection during maintenance activities.  The data will be processed anonymously and will only be used for study purposes. Reports are only made on a consolidated basis.

An exception to this can only be made with your explicit permission.

How long will your data be stored?

Personal data is stored for as long as is necessary to provide you with the service that you yourself activated or for which you gave permission. Your personal data is kept up to 5 years after the last use.

Transfer to third parties

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose for which you gave your consent and provided the personal information, or if this is legally required and permitted (for example in the context of a legal investigation).

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless you explicitly consented to do so.

Minors

We have absolutely no intention to collect data about app users who are underage, even if they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we can not check whether an app user is a minor. Therefore, make sure that you are involved in the online activities of your underage children to prevent their data from being processed by us or our partners.

Data security

The computers, mobile and internet connections on which your personal data is stored and transported are protected against hacking, installing malware and other improper use.

Anyone who can view or know your personal data on behalf of the data processors mentioned above is bound to confidentiality of that information.

A backup is made of the personal data in order to be able to recover it in the event of physical or technical incidents.

All employees of the data processors mentioned above have been informed about the importance of the protection of personal data and privacy.
